Starting from the picturesque hamlet of St Katharine’s, the course winds its way through some of the most breath-taking sights the countryside has to offer. With the kind permission of Mr Rokos and with the support of the Estate Manager and Security team from Tottenham House, the brand-new route gives runners exclusive access to incredible private grounds that are not generally open to the public, with stunning views of the Wiltshire countryside.
With friendly marshalling throughout and water points, this is a fabulous adventure for all abilities. There is also loads to do for non-runners and supporters too, with ice cream, tea and coffee, cake and the BBQ serving delicious bacon rolls and hot dogs.
The terrain is varied with something for everyone. Whether you are a seasoned runner or a novice, the variety will spur you on as you pass buildings dating back to the 16th century, ancient woodland, a deer park (where you may be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the resident herd of red deer) and viewpoints along the way that are to be rivalled by any other course, including incredible views of Martinsell Hill.
The 10k race kicks off at 9:30am, with the 3k following at 11:00am. Entry costs £15 for the 10k run and £7.50 for the 3k, with all funds going to St. Katharine’s Primary School. Commemorative T-shirts are also available in all sizes.
