This is a multi-terrain event and all competitors enter at their own risk. While medical assistance is provided for the duration of the event no liability will be accepted by land owners or race organisers for any injury incurred by entering this race.
By registering to participate in either race, you are accepting our terms and conditions and agreeing to pay the appropriate race entry fee.
Pictures and video footage may be used on the school website or media write-ups. All competitors entering the 10K or 3K fun run agree to their photograph being used for these purposes.
On the day of the races:
- 10K – 16 or over may run unaccompanied.
- Children under 16 may participate in the 10K but they must be accompanied at all times whilst running by an adult responsible for them.
- 3K – Children over 8 may run unaccompanied.
- Children under 8 may participate but they must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
- Parents/Guardians remain responsible for their children whether running with them or not.
Entry Fees
10K: £10 for Adults/Children
3K: £5 for Adults/Children
For an extra £8 (child) £10 (adult) you can add a T-shirt to your registration
We have sponsorship forms available if you are able to raise additional sponsorship.
Charity Event
This event is organised for The Friends of St. Katharine’s School. We are a registered charity Charity Reg No: 1004082. By participating in this event and supporting us, you are making a genuine difference to the children at St. Katharine’s Primary School.
Registration Confirmation
Confirmation of your race entry will be sent to you via email after your payment is received. We will also email further information prior to race day. Terms & Conditions
By entering the race you are agreeing to be bound by the event Terms & Conditions set out here. Refunds are not available once entry has been completed. Runners are permitted to transfer entry to a family member/friend if they email savernakerun@gmail.com with the details prior to the advance entry closing date. You must ensure that you have indicated that you have read these Terms & Conditions on your Registration Form.
Race Start Time
10K Race: 9.30am
3K Race: 11.00am
Event Day Registration
Please register at the desk on your arrival on the day of the event. The desk will be open from 8am.
Parking
Parking is available for runners in the school car park and the church car park, please follow marshals instructions on the day and car share where possible. Please park with consideration for our neighbours.
Start/Finish Area
Will be on the school field, please approach though the marked gate or the school playground.
Footwear
The terrain is mixed, you are advised that trail shoes are most appropriate but regular running shoes are suitable for both routes. Please be advised that the race routes follow in forest paths, footpaths and some private land. Every effort has been taken to ensure that clear safe routes are in place but runners are responsible for their own safety.
Medical Conditions
It is recommended that you prepare and train for this event. www.runnersmedicalresource.com has guidance. Please consult your doctor for a check-up if you have not exercised for some time. If you have a medical condition it must be detailed on the reverse of your race number provided. We strongly advise you seek medical advice before participating in this event and you disclose to those medical advisors the nature of this event.
Safety
This is a multi-terrain event, often uneven underfoot. All competitors accept by registering that they enter at their own risk. While medical assistance is provided for the duration of the event, no liability will be accepted by either St Katharine’s Primary School, Friends of St. Katharine’s School, private land owners, the Forestry Commission or individual race organisers for any injury incurred by entering this race.
Where children under 18 are running, they remain the responsibility of their parents, even if they are not with them on the run. Children over 8 may participate in the 3K unaccompanied. All participants aged under 18 must have a responsible adult on the field at the beginning and end of their race. No entries are permissible from participants on bikes, roller skates, with pushchairs, dogs or any kind of mechanical aid.
Race Timing
We are not offering chipped timing for either race. We will be manually timing the 10k and will endeavour to have an “official” time available for all participants.
We will not be offering timing for the 3K fun run.
Dogs – Strictly no pets allowed
Please leave your dog at home. Pets are not permitted on the school field. Dogs may not accompany runners. Please do not leave your dog in the car.
Headphones
Please do not wear headphones whilst participating in either race. It is essential that race officials can communicate with you and that you can hear any safety announcements. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
Water Stations
There will be one water station that you pass twice on the 10K route.
Please try to dispose of your water cup responsibly whilst running.
There will be no water stations on the 3k route so if you require water please make arrangements to carry this with you. It may be hot on the day.
Toilet Facilities
Toilet facilities are available in the School. We cannot offer changing facilities.
Left Baggage
There will be a left baggage area where you may leave your possessions whilst running. Please ensure that these are in a named bag. We will give you a cloakroom ticket and take your name on deposit. This will be attended at all times on race day, but no responsibility can be taken for the safety and security of items left.
Pre/Post Race Refreshments
Bacon rolls and Tea/Coffee will be available for sale from 8am. There will be water available for runners on the field all morning as well as water mid-route on the 10k.
Hot dogs, cake refreshments will be available for sale from 11.30am.
Prizegiving – 12.15pm
10K – Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female. Junior prizes will also be given.
3K – Junior Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Age 12 and over and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Age 11 and under.
Medals will be given to all runners who complete either race. These will be given out as the races finish.
Personal information handling in accordance with Data Protection Act (1998)
We take privacy issues seriously and want to be open about the way personal information you provide when you enter our races is collected and used. We use the personal information you give us to keep you informed about race arrangements, to develop and enhance our event, and inform you about future events. Your details will never be passed on to other companies or third parties without your permission. If you do not want to receive information about future events please let us know. We will contact you using the email address you supply on your race entry form. Mobile numbers provided can be used by us on race day in the case of emergency.
